Hey! Today’s song is Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm. The song was published on their new album, The Strange Case Of… (2012). The lyrics are here, and the music video is below:
I really enjoy the lyrics to this song. They have such an attitude, and Lzzy sings them with such attitude, in a strange way it makes me a little more proud to be a woman. Lzzy has a voice that really suits singing in a rock band.
The drum beat gives the song such a high tempo, and drives the song so fast forward, that it gives the song an extra edge. I also liked the guitar solo, though it’s a little short for me, but then again, there’s beat driving the song forward. No time for stretched-out guitar solos!
The music video isn’t that special, except for the way Arejay handles his drums. Oh, well…
“I know a thousand ways to help you forget about her
That bitch can eat her heart out
Love bites, but so do I, so do I”
(Love Bites (So Do I) – Halestorm)

Still had a bit of anger left from the last post? :p
Awesome riffs, voice, drum beats, drum moves and lyrics!!!
The solo lasts to the end of the song, it’s just in the background most of the time :p
Well, maybe…
Yeah, I know, but I really want to hear it completely!
It is complete, just use the force and be the solo! :p (Basically focus)
Haha, you sound like you were taken right out of Star Wars x) (Not that I actually know what I’m talking about, but I’ve heard a thing or two
)
Awww, I was aiming for Shakespeare :/ Oh well, Star Wars has lots of special effects, so I guess that’s cool too
You sounded poetical, so maybe there was a little Shakespeare in there too?
That wasn’t poetic… I just stole some overused lines :p This on the other hand is slighly more poetic (I hope):
The wind may rustle the leaves to create nature’s art on a canvas of grass.
The northern lights might light up the night sky to create a panorama of beautiful colours and a green bird. (I’ve seen that once. It was amazingly beautiful)
However, I don’t really care about that because I’m going to try writing a song now!
Any tips on what I could write about or just for general inspiration would be appreciated
Well, that was indeed slightly more poetic, and I hope I get to see the northern lights light up a green bird, however strange that actually sounds.
Good luck on writing the song!
I don’t know, I’m no good at giving inspiration to people, but you could try writing about love, life or music, as those themes are well used ones in music lyrics, and proven to become very popular.
There was no green bird :p The lights just looked like one
I gave up on the song for tonight, but I’ll probably try again tomorrow
Thanks!
Wait, what? Oh, okay, slightly disappointed, but oh well…
